A live walkthrough of an HTB Easy box from initial reconnaissance through to root access, with the presenter showing their actual methodology and discussing each exploit, CVE, and potential IOC as you go. This is the group's first Sydney meetup, so expect a genuine meet-and-greet atmosphere rather than polished presentation energy. You'll need a HTB account and a Linux environment set up beforehand, and you can follow along on a private instance the organiser will set up for attendees. Hack The Box is throwing in some random prizes, and the whole vibe is collaborative learning rather than lecture format, so questions and discussion are built in. Ideal if you're new to hands-on pentesting and want to see how someone actually approaches a box from zero.
