Digital Irish Community Hackathon - Participant Registration
Week-long hackathon where you'll solve real problems for Irish community groups in Sydney, then pitch your work live to the people who'll actually use it.
You'll spend a week solving concrete problems for real Sydney-based Irish organisations, then pitch your work directly to the people running them. The five challenges range from building a digital archive for The Ireland Funds Australia to redesigning the membership experience for The Gaelic Club and overhauling the Sydney Irish Film Festival's booking system. You'll get matched to a brief based on your skills (developers, designers, PMs, data analysts, marketers, and strategists all welcome), have a briefing call with your community group on the Monday evening, then build through the week and present live on Thursday night. It's free to register, you can come solo or with a team, and the pitch night includes drinks and nibbles. This is a chance to ship something that actually gets used, not just another portfolio piece.
